HOW TO USE THIS TABLE

- - - - - This table lists all the structures mentioned in the Pixelated Brain. Column A shows the structures; Column B indicates the module in which the main discussion of the structure is found; Column C shows the first module in which the structure is mentioned; and Column D provides links to the figures in which the structure is identified.

- - - - - The notations in Column D obviously require clarification. Consider the listing for the Amygdala:

I - 46 47 48 50 - VII - Cu31&+ - XI - 9 - XIII - 1 2 6 Cu38&-

- - - - - This tells you that: 1) Figures 46, 47, 48 and 50 in Module 1 identify the amygdala. 2) In Module 7, a version of Cornell (Cu) slide 31 is called up which labels the amygdala; furthermore, the "&+" tells you that if, while looking at slide slide 31, you click the "rostral (+) link, you will call up additional views in which the nucleus is identified. 3) In Module 11, Figure 9 identifies the amygdala. 4) In Module 13 Figures 1,2 and 6 show the nucleus. 5) Finally, also in Module 13, a version of Cornell (Cu) slide 38 labels the nucleus; in this case, clicking the "caudal (-) link will call up additional views of the nucleus. The pixies who designed this glossary are certain you can handle the details!
