MODULE 9 - INTRODUCTION

This module deals with the cranial nerves related to the somatic efferent cell column. Included are the three nerves which control eye movement - the oculomotor, trochlear and abducens nerves - and the nerve which provides motor innervation to the tongue - the hypoglossal nerve. It also considers how the oculomotor, trochlear and abducens nerves act in coordination to bring about eye movement.
