MODULE 3
THE DORSAL COLUMN - MEDIAL LEMNISCUS (DC-ML) PATHWAY
AM I DONE? (You ask)
Probably. The best way to decide is to go back to the OBJECTIVES section and see if you can do the tasks listed there. If you want to review the course of the DC-ML pathway (not a bad idea) you can do so in one or more of four ways:
----- 1) To look at every slide in the series, call up Figure 3-5. Then click on the numbers in the box on the left to call up the slides. Use the unlabeled version of the slides to test yourself.
----- 2) Look again at the pathway using Figure 3-11, Figure 3-12 and Figure 3-13. These call up only every fourth slide in the series but give you the same information in the end. Click on individual slides for an enlarged view.
-----3) You can look at composites that show several slides in a single view. To do so, call up Figure 3-10. Note, however, that in this group of composite views the trigeminal and anterolateral pathways also are shown; we take them up in Module 4.
-----4) Try drawing in all the details of the pathway on Figure 3-14, Figure 3-15 and Figure 3-16.
- - - 5) Look at Figure 3-17 for a summary and at Figure 3-18 for acomparison with the pathways we will be taking up in Module 4.
