TOPIC 1 - Slides of the whole brain. Remember that they have copies of these views in your ATLAS OF WHOLE BRAIN SECTIONS.

1) - Figure 7-2 - frontal sections

2) - Figure 7-3 - horizontal sections

3) - Figure 7-4 - sagittal sections

TOPIC 2 - Brainstem slides. A good way to look at these is to get into the Atlas #1 slide series and then click "rostral" to go forward. I have also made a list of key slides below. In many cases the markings may hide the structure, so go to the unlabeled version for a better look.

4) - Cu Slide 23 - start here and go forward to Cu Slide 36 or start at slide 36 and go caudally

5) - Cu Slide 26 - for substantia nigra

6) - Cu Slide 30 - for subthalamic nucleus

7) - Cu Slide 32 - fasciculus lenticularis; fasciculus thalamicus - the lines show where it is but you can't really pick it out

8) - Cu Slide 35 -ansa lenticularis; ventralis anterior nucleus (VA)
