OBJECTIVES
After you have completed this module you should be able to do the following:
----- 1) Describe the functions carried out by the cranial nerves listed above, and relate these functions to the origin and termination of nerve fibers within the brainstem.
----- 2) Explain the concept of "functional components" and the relationship of these components to the cell columns in the brainstem.
----- 3) Describe how you would test each of these 5 cranial nerves, and the deficit you would expect if the nerve were damaged.
