RUBROSPINAL TRACT descends through the TEGMENTUM

This slide, and the ones that follow, simply show the rubrospinal tract descending through the lateral part of the brainstem. It does not stand out, and it is enough for you to know that it travels down in that general region to enter the lateral funiculus of the spinal cord. Because this part of the cortico-rubro-spinal pathway is a compact bundle of fibers (even though we can't make them out on our slides) we call it a tract rather than a pathway.
